3i is an international investment company with two businesses: mid-market private equity and infrastructure. Its private equity business focuses on four sectors: business and technology services, consumer, healthcare and industrial.
We did not find an explicit mission statement. 3i's careers page says it looks for outstanding people with an international outlook who can work across disciplines, and that it develops staff through training, career progression, fair rewards and direct feedback to senior management.
3i is a FTSE 100 company. Its careers page mentions London-based employees, and says it has six offices across Europe and North America (other pages say seven or eight, so the count varies by source). We did not retrieve an address or UK headcount.
3i describes a "strong collegiate culture" with fewer than 250 people globally, where new joiners get early responsibility and mentoring. That is 3i's own description, and we found no independent culture information.
3i has run a Graduate Programme with rotations across private equity and infrastructure. The most recent detailed listing we found is for a September 2021 start (deadline 11 September 2020), asking for a 2:1, at least 320 UCAS points and Dutch, French or German preferred. Selection included online tests, interviews and an assessment centre. We could not confirm current dates, locations or any internship or apprenticeship, so check 3i's careers site.
