Aberdeen Group is an Edinburgh-based investment company that helps people plan, save and invest. Its teams cover investment management, client work, risk and compliance, marketing, finance and more.
The firm was known as abrdn until March 2025, when it changed its name back to Aberdeen Group (confirmed by Companies House registration on 12 March 2025). A 2024 graduate listing said it aims to "empower our clients to become better investors". That wording comes from the abrdn period, so check whether it has changed.
The graduate and internship listings we found are based in Edinburgh or London. The company is headquartered in Edinburgh, according to a news report on the renaming.
The 2024 listing describes an inclusive workplace that values diversity, meritocracy, fairness and transparency, and says it is a Disability Confident Committed (Level One) employer. These are the company's own claims.
Routes in the listings include graduate programmes (a 2025 Client Group programme starting September 2025, and risk and compliance and brand, marketing and corporate affairs programmes in earlier years) and summer internships in areas like accounting and finance and real assets. The 2025 listing had a deadline of 18 October 2024 and mentioned e-learning, a development plan and networking with senior leaders. Pay was not given, though the listing mentioned 40 days of leave and a 16% employer pension contribution (as at 2024). We did not find current intake dates under the new name.
