A telecoms, media and technology advisory firm founded in 1985, with UK offices in London, Manchester and Cambridge.

About Analysys Mason

Analysys Mason is a research and advisory firm for the telecoms, media and technology (TMT) world, meaning phone and broadband networks, TV and online media, and the technology behind them. It describes itself as a "trusted adviser to businesses, investors and governments worldwide". Teams give advice on strategy, regulation and policy, deals (transaction support), technology and transformation, often using economic and numbers-based modelling.

The firm was founded in 1985 as a telecoms research and advisory pioneer and built its reputation on analytical insight. Its careers page says it has 17 offices worldwide and names UK offices in London, Cambridge and Manchester, alongside Bonn, Madrid and Paris. It is in the Platinum tier of the 2026 Consultancy.uk UK ranking. We did not find the names of the founders in the sources we read. Another page says Mark Billige became CEO in November 2025.

We did not find a formal mission statement. The careers page says the firm aims to provide "an environment of collaboration, support and inclusivity, in which hard work and success are rewarded". It names collaboration, inclusivity, merit-based recognition and corporate social responsibility as core values.

A graduate listing describes typical clients as telecoms operators, financial institutions, and internet or satellite companies. Associate Consultants do research, number-crunching and forecasting, present findings in writing and out loud, and contribute to proposals and client meetings. One testimonial on the careers page mentions supporting the IPO (share market listing) of IHS Towers, and the firm says clients span more than 140 countries. In 2026 it announced buying Modulai, a Northern European AI consultancy.

The firm says project teams are small, usually a Project Director, a Project Manager and one to three consultants, which gives early exposure to senior people. It says staff come from more than 30 nationalities and speak 45 languages, with social events, sports teams, volunteering days, flexible working, study leave, a bonus scheme and the option to buy company shares after three years; these are its own claims, and it admits deadlines can be intense. For young people, it says many leaders joined at entry level and that graduates can own significant work early. A 2024 Associate Consultant graduate listing in London asked for a degree in any subject, comfort with numbers, analytical thinking and fluent English, with no TMT background needed; it offered a three-week initial training programme, then mentoring from experienced staff including Partners (closed 17 November 2023). No salary figure was published. Check the careers page for current intakes.
