A UK business account and admin assistant for sole traders and small companies, with invoicing and tax filing tools.
ANNA Money is a business account and admin helper for small UK firms, all run from an app. A business owner can open an account, get a debit card, send invoices, scan receipts with their phone and have expenses sorted automatically. ANNA also has an “Auto Accountant” service that handles things like Self Assessment, VAT filing, Corporation Tax, confirmation statements and payroll. The name stands for Absolutely No Nonsense Admin, which tells you the idea: take the boring paperwork off people who would rather get on with running their business.
A TechRound feature says ANNA was founded in 2017 in Cardiff, Wales, by Boris Dyakonov, Eduard Panteleev and Slava Akulov (the article spells the surname two ways). It says Dyakonov and Panteleev had earlier started banking businesses and Akulov had run a consulting firm. Dyakonov and Panteleev are now co-CEOs. ANNA's legal name is Absolutely No Nonsense Admin Ltd, registered in Cardiff. In May 2026 ANNA said it had 143 UK employees and offices in London and Cardiff, with its 24/7 support team in Cardiff. An earlier read of its careers page suggested the London address belonged to a separate regulated partner, so check where roles are actually based.
ANNA describes itself as “on a mission to make admin for businesses as faffless as possible”. It also says it created the company to give businesses time-saving tools so they can spend more time on what they love, and it pictures a future where “ideas, creativity and innovation are encouraged and running a business is fun”. Its careers page talks about building the best business admin assistant.
Products are split into a business account (versions for limited companies, teams, startups and sole traders), invoicing software, a receipt scanner, the Auto Accountant tax and filing service, and a company registration service. It also gives away free tools such as an invoice generator, VAT calculators and “Tax Terrapin”, a tax chatbot. Regulated partners do some of the behind-the-scenes work: PayrNet Limited issues its cards and holds the electronic money licence, and Griffin Bank Ltd provides savings accounts. Recent partnerships include Admiral Business for insurance (July 2026) and YouLend for business funding (September 2026).
Inside, ANNA says it has support staff, engineers who build the AI that automates tax work, and operations and admin teams. The co-CEOs say new features are released and improved every week and that staff get “the freedom to create” and ownership of projects. In The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, ANNA reported an average engagement score of 82%, from its own staff survey, and it also reports winning Accounting Tech of the Year (2026). These are the company's own claims. When we read the careers page it listed no vacancies and no graduate or internship scheme, so follow ANNA and check back.
