About Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team

Aston Martin Aramco is a Formula 1 team that returned to the grid in 2021 after more than 60 years away. It designs, builds and races its own cars from the AMR Technology Campus at Silverstone. Its profile on the Gradcracker careers site says it has more than 900 staff, and a report on the site says more than 800 work at the campus, with room to rise to about 1,000. This team is separate from the road car maker Aston Martin Lagonda, though they share the brand. The team calls itself a team with "a rich heritage and a fresh perspective".

The Silverstone team has a long history on this ground. Lawrence Stroll bought Force India in 2018, which became Racing Point, and the team took the Aston Martin name in 2021. Its old base was the former Jordan factory, built in 1992. Staff used to be spread across Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Wales, and the move to one campus brought them together. Adrian Newey joined in 2024 as managing technical partner.

The campus covers 37,000 square metres in three buildings. One holds design, engineering, production and commercial teams along with race control, and a 160-metre central corridor called the Street. Another has a simulator, dining area, gym and running track. The third has a model shop and the wind tunnel. The team says it makes thousands of parts in house and plans to build its own gearbox from 2026 alongside Honda power units. The site also hosts Aston Martin Performance Technologies. Sustainability features include solar panels, 1,500 trees and EV charging.

The team uses the acronym GREEN for its values: Growth, Ready, Empower, Excellence and Nurture. It describes itself as brave and united, valuing authenticity and honesty. Lawrence Stroll says the campus is designed around people and staff wellbeing. These are the team's own statements, and the team's management has changed in recent years.

A team like this employs aerodynamicists, designers, composites and machining technicians, electronics and software engineers, simulation specialists, mechanics, logistics, finance, marketing and people teams. Silverstone is close to Northampton, Oxford and Milton Keynes, and sits among the many motorsport businesses of the area known as Motorsport Valley. The campus also includes a staff dining area, a gym and a running track, and the team says its solar panels generate enough electricity each year to have powered the previous factory.
