A London-founded ad-tech company that places audio adverts inside mobile games and apps so people keep playing while they listen.
Audiomob is an advertising technology company that works with mobile games and apps. Developers add its small plugin, and advertisers can then play short audio adverts while the person carries on using the app, instead of interrupting with a full-screen video. It gives developers a way to earn money from a free game, and gives advertisers and musicians a way to reach listeners. Games using it have included Word Life, Ice Cream Inc., Om Nom: Run and Traffic Tour Car Racer. Its site shows brands including Coca-Cola, Hyundai, HMRC, Sony Music, Warner Music Group, Babbel and Dr Pepper.
Its own About page says it started the audio ad revolution. The founders grew tired of seeing intrusive, interstitial-style ads inside mobile games and started the company with a core principle: that there is a better way to advertise in games. A Google Cloud case study describes its purpose as helping advertisers reach consumers and helping developers monetise their games with a simpler alternative to standard ads, and says it was built from the ground up by developers, for developers.
Audiomob was founded in 2020 by Christian Facey, who is chief executive, and Wilfrid Obeng, who is chief technology officer. Its site describes them as Google and Facebook alumni. It is a UK company with offices in London and Abu Dhabi, and the Google case study also mentions New York. Reported headcounts range from about 33 to about 44 depending on the source, so treat team size as approximate. The founders received support from the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund. The company says it was named in the Startups 100 in 2025 and won a start-up of the year award for London and the East of England in 2022.
The company says its platform reaches 300 million monthly active users across about 1,200 apps in 160 countries, which are its own claims. Its technology runs on Google Cloud. It uses contextual information such as time of day, broad location and type of device, rather than personal details, to match adverts to listeners, and an AI review process checks thousands of advert files a day before they go live. A profile quotes its head of gaming partnerships saying he loves the diversity in the team.
A team like this needs engineers, data people, game partnerships managers, sales staff and advertiser account managers. Roles are advertised on its careers page and on job boards, so check there for what is open.
