About Beauhurst

Beauhurst provides data on private companies. It aims to be the leading provider of private company data in Europe, with online platforms and an API that help people find, track and understand them.

Its stated aim is to close the information gap on private companies, which it calls the backbone of the economy. Clients include venture capital firms, financial institutions, universities and government.

It publishes the lists we used in this research. Its 2026 Data Researcher graduate role was in Nottingham: researching what companies do, writing descriptions and sorting firms into about 300 sectors. It paid £26,000 with about two months of training and did not involve data analysis. That round closed in August 2026.

It describes a close-knit team, hybrid working (up to 70 per cent from home), team socials and a stake in the company.
