BJSS

A UK technology consultancy, now part of CGI, that builds software for large organisations and runs a well-known engineering apprenticeship.

About BJSS

BJSS is a technology consultancy that solves complex technology problems for major organisations. It was founded in 1993 and designs and builds software, data and cloud systems.

ACQUIRED: by CGI (year not confirmed on pages read). It still trades under the BJSS name for its apprenticeship pages. We did not find a formal mission statement. Its pages describe a collaborative, open culture with diverse teams and a commitment to world-class delivery.

BJSS works with clients across the UK and says it operates from 26 locations worldwide. Apprentices must live within commuting distance of a home office and be ready to work on client sites across the UK.

News coverage describes an academy programme for school leavers, and a Yorkshire Post article describes a jobs drive. We could not confirm office towns from the pages we read.

The Software Engineering Apprenticeship is a Level 4 apprenticeship (as at 2026): paid full-time work with blocks of training, lasting up to 24 months and normally 18, starting in September, with a mentor and a learning coach. A Technology Consulting degree apprenticeship is also listed. Pay is not stated, so check the BJSS academy page.
