Blue Yonder UK

The UK arm of Blue Yonder, a global supply chain software company owned by Panasonic, with offices in the City of London and Bracknell.

About Blue Yonder UK

Blue Yonder makes software that helps companies plan, move and sell goods. Wikipedia describes it as supply chain management software covering demand and supply planning, order and returns management, transport, logistics and warehouse management, now with AI tools. Its own listing calls it 'the world leader in digital supply chain and omni-channel commerce fulfillment' and says it serves retailers, manufacturers and logistics providers. Think of it as the software that works out how much stock a supermarket should have, where it should sit and how it gets there.

The company's history is long. James Donald Armstrong founded a Calgary company in 1978, and in 1985 he and Frederick Pakis formed JDA Software in the United States. JDA grew by buying other software companies, bought a German AI firm called Blue Yonder in 2018 and took the Blue Yonder name in 2020. Panasonic bought it in 2021, and it operates as an independent subsidiary. Duncan Angove has been chief executive since 2022. We did not find a formal mission statement; its London job listing uses the tagline 'Fulfill Your Potential'.

Blue Yonder's UK offices are at Level 17, 30 St Mary Axe in London and at Maxis 2, Western Road in Bracknell, Berkshire, according to a London tech jobs listing. The company has also bought a UK business: Wikipedia lists Doddle Parcels, a UK logistics company, among its acquisitions between 2023 and 2025. The listing site gives a global headcount above 5,000 but no UK figure, so we cannot say how many people work in Britain.

On culture, the tagline 'Fulfill Your Potential' is the main thing the page offers, and it ties it to empowering organisations and people. Roles recently advertised from London include an HR generalist for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a strategic advisory manager, a warehouse management solutions manager, a principal architect and an employment lawyer, all listed as in-office. We did not find a UK values page or staff stories, and the listing page is a third-party summary rather than the company's own words.

From those roles you can see the mix of jobs: consultants and solution architects who tailor the software to customers, support engineers who fix problems, software developers, sales and account teams, and HR, legal and finance staff. Subjects such as computer science, maths, business, supply chain and logistics lead naturally here. The supply chain industry is also building new interest in AI, so analytical and data skills are valued. Blue Yonder's own website is the place to see current roles.
