A UK professional education provider offering accountancy, law, finance, data and other career-focused courses and apprenticeships.
BPP is a professional education provider and describes itself as one of the UK's biggest. It teaches accountancy and tax, law, finance, data, HR, nursing and management, and also offers apprenticeships. It reports more than 300 career-focused programmes and 65,000 learners each year.
Its stated purpose is to improve professional performance for individuals, employers and the wider workforce, and it says every business, individual and profession can be 'extraordinary'. Its jobs page sums this up as 'Building Careers Through Education'.
BPP says it has 48 years of experience and study centres across the UK. BPP University, which has its own degree-awarding powers, says it has 13 centres in eight locations across England, as well as online learning.
BPP lists its values as striving for excellence, challenging convention and working together toward a shared goal. It describes a collaborative workplace and says it values inclusion and diversity.
BPP delivers apprenticeships for employers, so young people can earn while they learn. A BPP apprentice guide (dated November 2018, so may be out of date) said apprentices needed the right to work in England, to be employed, and to hold GCSE English and maths or study Functional Skills; levels ran from 2 to 7. Pay was not stated. Check bpp.com for current vacancies.
