Brainlabs

A founder-led digital media agency headquartered in London that runs paid search, social, programmatic and data work for big brands.

About Brainlabs

Brainlabs is a digital media agency. It helps brands decide where to spend their advertising money online and then runs the campaigns for them. Its work covers paid search, paid social, programmatic and connected TV advertising, SEO, influencer marketing, retail media, data and performance creative. It also tests changes to websites so that more visitors become customers. Today it calls itself "the most agentic media agency", meaning it uses AI tools and automation alongside its people.

Brainlabs describes itself as "the independent, founder-led agency building for the future of media". Instead of a single mission sentence it publishes twelve Culture Codes, which it calls a shared framework for how its people think. They include "We are one team", "Feedback is a Gift", "Radiators, Not Drains", "Big Brain Thinking", "Radical Clarity", "First Principles" and "Raise the Bar". Founder and chief executive Dan Gilbert says "Culture isn't a side project. It's the foundation for everything we achieve." Another line on its site says that testing is in its DNA, and it talks about wins coming from testing, technology and talent.

Brainlabs is headquartered in London, with a second UK office listed in Manchester. A trade-press story records an earlier move of its London headquarters to Old Street. The company also has offices in the United States and Argentina, and it says it has more than 1,000 staff, known as Brainlabbers, across five continents. Its website names Rich Clifton as managing partner in London. It works with large brands such as Netflix, Hilton, Microsoft and Polaroid, and it is a premier partner of platforms including Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok and The Trade Desk.

Brainlabs says it is an office-based culture and asks people to be in the office at least three days a week. Staff quoted on its site talk about a strong culture, close working relationships and a focus on impact. Rich Clifton says that over half of open roles are filled by promoting its own people. Benefits it lists include free lunches, a structured development process, parental leave and a global mobility programme. These are the company's own claims, so ask about them when you speak to the team.

The people at Brainlabs include media planners and buyers, paid search and social specialists, data scientists, analysts, creative and SEO specialists, account managers and software engineers. If you like numbers, experiments and explaining results to clients, this is the kind of place where those skills are used every day. We did not find the founding year or a mission statement beyond the Culture Codes on the pages we read.
