Brave Bison

A London-headquartered media, marketing and technology company that owns agencies including SocialChain, MiniMBA and MTM and runs a large network of social channels.

About Brave Bison

Brave Bison calls itself "a media, marketing and technology company purpose built for the digital era". It brings together several businesses under one roof: organic and paid performance marketing, technology and digital experience, fan engagement through Engage Digital Partners, social and influencer work through SocialChain, an owned media network, MiniMBA training and MTM insights and consultancy.

Its homepage describes the idea as "capitalising on complexity from trend to spend", meaning it tries to spot what people are interested in and turn it into results for clients. The company is built for "now, and what's next". It also highlights two of its tools, AudienceGPT and AdStudio, which are about using data and AI in marketing. MiniMBA, one of its divisions, offers practical online training in marketing and business strategy, so the group teaches as well as sells. Its Greenlight business works with retail clients such as New Balance, Currys, Gap and Furniture Village, and its sport and fan-engagement arm works with rights holders in football, motorsport and tennis.

Brave Bison started in 2011 as Rightster, a YouTube network, and took the Brave Bison name in 2016. It is headquartered in London and listed on the AIM market, and its hubs include Manchester as well as New York and other countries. It has grown by joining other businesses to it, including Greenlight Digital, SocialChain, Engage Digital Partners, Builtvisible, The Fifth and MTM. The Fifth is an influencer agency that came from News UK. Its owned and operated media network of more than 650 channels and 158 million followers (Wikipedia figures, 2025) lets it reach audiences directly as well as through clients' campaigns.

Named people include Oliver Green as Executive Chair and Theo Green as Chief Growth Officer. Recent news names a Chief Strategy Officer, a head of growth, a VP of product and technology and an Executive Creative Director at SocialChain. Clients named on its public profiles include Currys, New Balance, Primark, Specsavers, Real Madrid, Formula 1, Spotify and the BBC. Its site has a culture page and the tagline "A different beast", but we could not read the detail.

Because it holds many specialist businesses, Brave Bison employs a wide range of people. These include search and content specialists, paid media planners, developers, creative and social teams, data and insight analysts, teachers and course designers at MiniMBA, and finance and operations teams. For a student, it is a useful example of how many different skills sit inside one modern marketing company.
