Busuu

A language-learning community and app with an office in London, offering courses, feedback from native speakers and lessons with teachers.

About Busuu

Busuu is a language-learning company. It describes itself as the world's largest language-learning community, with about 120 million learners, and combines AI-powered courses, feedback from native speakers and lessons with qualified teachers.

Its stated purpose is to make learning a language easier, and its core belief is: 'We believe amazing things happen when we learn together.' It was founded in 2008 by Bernhard Niesner and Adrian Hilti, who met at IE Business School.

Busuu's careers page lists offices in London and Madrid. We did not find a headcount or confirmation of where its head office is.

The company names five values: Trust, Effectiveness, Ambition, Curiosity and Happiness. It describes hybrid working (two days a week in the office), a career ladder, an annual training budget, company socials and dog-friendly offices.

We did not find a graduate scheme, apprenticeship or internship on the page we read. Open roles are listed through a Workday page linked from busuu.com/en/careers, so check there for entry-level jobs.
