About Cambridge University Press & Assessment

Cambridge University Press & Assessment combines publishing and exams. It serves learners, teachers and researchers in more than 170 countries with books, journals, teaching resources and assessment.

Its stated aim is to spread knowledge, spark curiosity and aid understanding around the world, and its About us summary talks about unlocking the potential of millions of people worldwide.

The UK headquarters is in Cambridge. Other offices named on the page we read are New York, Manila, Cape Town and New Delhi. We did not find a UK headcount.

Two colleagues describe how people grow there. One joined as an apprentice in recruitment, completed a level 6 Chartered Manager degree apprenticeship and now works as an Employee Experience Specialist. Another joined as an editorial administrator and moved into the journals department. In 2020 the organisation was shortlisted as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer.

It runs an apprenticeship scheme where colleagues gain skills and qualifications while working. It also joined the government's Kickstart Scheme, six-month placements for 16 to 24 year olds, but that was a past scheme. We did not find current entry requirements or pay, so check the careers site.
