Carta

A US ownership-management software company with a London team that helps founders, investors and lawyers handle share ownership and funds.

About Carta

Carta is a platform for private capital. It provides software, services and legal infrastructure for founders managing who owns their company, for fund managers running administration and reporting, and for legal teams closing deals.

Carta says it aims to "unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places".

Carta has a London office, and a hybrid UK Contracts team role is based there, reporting to a supervising attorney in EMEA. The listing was reposted about two months before we read it, so recruiting appears to be current.

Carta describes its people as "helpful, relentless, unconventional and kind" and stresses collaboration across teams (company claims).

We found no graduate scheme or apprenticeship. The role we saw, a junior Paralegal in the contracts team, recommended two or more years of corporate or transactional legal experience, so it is not a first job. Private markets knowledge was a plus. Check Carta's careers page for entry-level openings.
