Police investigation data software · Data Science & Analytics

Chorus Intelligence

A UK software company whose tools help police forces clean, connect and analyse data when investigating crimes.

About Chorus Intelligence

Chorus Intelligence makes software that helps investigators make sense of large amounts of data. Police used to do much of this by hand in spreadsheets, which could take weeks or months on a single case. Chorus automates the cleaning and analysis and adds maps, visual charts and reports that can be used as court evidence.

We did not find a formal mission statement. One article describes its goal as helping law enforcement connect their data, and its founder's advice is to keep the customer at the heart of what you do.

It is a UK company. An article on a regional tech site places it in Suffolk, and Boyd Mulvey is named as founder and CEO. Industry pages say its software is used by most UK police forces (one says 80 per cent, another 90 per cent, so treat the exact figure with care). We did not find a headcount.

Its products were developed by former law enforcement experts together with software developers. Its Head of UK, Scott Orton, joined in 2016 after about eight years as an analyst with Leicestershire Police and the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, which shows how closely it works with real investigators.

We did not find a graduate scheme, apprenticeship or internship on the pages we read. If crime-fighting with data interests you, check the company's own careers page for roles.
