A London company building non-invasive sensors that watch the brain without drilling into the skull.
CoMind makes technology for monitoring the brain without surgery. Its system uses infrared light in an adhesive sensor placed on the forehead to track brain blood flow and pressure at the bedside, to help doctors in intensive care and surgery. It also plans AI tools to spot complications early.
CoMind says it is working on "breakthrough sensing technology to revolutionise brain monitoring and treatment" and wants to redefine the way the brain is measured and treated. A job listing says the aim is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders.
CoMind is London-based. A recent job listing places the team in a King's Cross office, working in the office at least four days a week. News coverage in October 2025 confirms the London base.
The listing describes a team of about 15 scientists, including optical physicists, signal processing specialists and physiologists, and says AI is central to its culture (company claims). Founder James Dacombe started the company at 17.
The role we saw was senior, for an experienced data platform engineer who would mentor junior developers. We found no graduate scheme or apprenticeship, so check CoMind's careers page.
