A Bracknell-based cloud communications company, founded in 2005, whose Storm platform handles customer calls and messages for large organisations such as the NHS.
Content Guru builds software that helps big organisations talk to their customers. Its main product is Storm, a cloud-based contact centre platform. A contact centre is where calls, texts, web chats and emails from the public are handled, for example when you ring a utility company or a public service for help. Storm brings those channels together and uses artificial intelligence to route and support conversations. The company describes itself as Europe's largest cloud customer experience provider, which is its own claim, and says its customers include public services, financial services, healthcare and utilities.
Wikipedia says the company was founded in 2005 by Sean Taylor and Martin Taylor, who remain at the top of the business as chief executive and deputy chief executive. Early on, Storm was used to run live audience polling for ITV News during the 2010 televised election leaders' debate, and in 2016 the company won a Queen's Award for Innovation. It has partners such as Vodafone, Cinos and Rakuten, and customers including the NHS and Serco. We did not find a formal mission statement; the nearest is that its platform helps organisations respond quickly to people.
Content Guru is headquartered in Bracknell, Berkshire. Wikipedia also lists offices in the United States, Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland and Italy, and says it sells in about 60 countries directly and through partners. It sits within Redwood Technologies Group. Wikipedia gives about 500 employees in 2024, though we did not find a UK-only headcount.
For culture, the only first-hand words we found are from Martin Taylor, who in 2025 won an alumni award in a business-leaders programme run by LDC and The Times. He called the award "team sport" recognition for the company's "extraordinary team". We did not find a culture page, values page or staff stories, so we cannot say more about what day-to-day work feels like.
A platform company like this employs software engineers who build and run the cloud systems, AI and data specialists, and solution engineers who set up Storm for each customer. Project managers keep customer rollouts on track, support engineers help when something goes wrong, and sales, partner and marketing teams work with the organisations that buy it. Public services and healthcare customers mean the work can affect how people reach help, which many students find motivating.
