A London-founded digital asset company that provides secure storage and trading services for institutions.
Copper, founded in 2018, builds infrastructure for institutions that hold digital assets, covering custody (secure storage), collateral management and prime services. Its custody technology can connect to exchanges, decentralised finance applications and staking pools without assets leaving storage.
Copper describes its mission as "building the standard for institutional digital asset infrastructure". It says it wants to reduce risk and improve efficiency in digital asset markets.
Its London office is its base for UK roles, with hybrid working, and it also lists offices in Asia-Pacific, Switzerland, the UAE and the US. Its Commercial Summer Internship 2026 in London shows it was recruiting there this year. Its global chief executive is Amar Kuchinad.
The company says it values innovation, openness and curiosity, and mentions employee groups such as Women at Copper and a community and wellbeing committee. It describes itself as a Disability Confident Employer. These are the company's own claims.
Copper has clear early-career routes. The Commercial Summer Internship was 8 weeks (£14 an hour), rotating through sales, relationship management and client solutions, for students in their second year or a year before graduation; applications closed 16 February 2026. A Treasury Apprentice role in London asked for three A Levels at grade B or above including Maths, and was removed in July 2025. Check Copper's careers page for the next round.
