About Cross 8

Cross 8 is a UK business change consultancy. When an organisation needs to make a big change, such as moving computer systems to the cloud, merging teams or delivering a large project, Cross 8 helps plan it, run it and make sure the people affected actually adopt it. It describes itself as “experts in business change and commercial optimisation” and says it works with organisations of any size, from large transformation programmes to small continuous improvement projects. Its work is aimed mainly at financial services, infrastructure and utilities, with clients including the NHS, National Grid and Royal Bank of Scotland.

It is based on Langley Road near Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire. Cross 8 was founded in 2013 by Tobias and Wendy Robinson, and Tobias Robinson is listed as Managing Director. It had 15 staff when named in a Sunday Times list in 2025, and an organisation-chart site shows a team of 11 to 50 people split between project management, consulting services, business analysis and finance. Named people include Derek Allan (Director, Transformation and Change) and Michael Lancashire (Associate Director). We did not find a long founding story beyond these facts.

We did not find a formal mission statement. Its G-Cloud (government buying framework) listing says its approach is collaborative and evidence-based, with a focus on business problems rather than technology, and in its words, “when the job is done our clients can stand alone”. That is the nearest thing to a stated aim, and it is implied rather than a formal mission.

Its G-Cloud 14 listing describes services including CEO change advisory, where it gives independent senior advice to chief executives on change problems; planning, using methods such as reference class forecasting (comparing a project with similar past ones to judge how long it will really take) and working with Agile, waterfall or hybrid styles; setup and migration, for example moving from on-site servers to cloud; and test management, led by security-screened test managers. Skills are passed on through mentoring, workshops and handover documents. It also helps clients build in-house change teams or recruit people with change skills. The listing names no clients, and the clients named above come from our earlier source.

For working there, the listing says staff are cleared to government baseline security standards and that the company has Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Its social value commitments include net zero by 2050, flexible working, mentoring apprentices and supporting neurodiversity in the workplace; these are the firm's own statements. The roles on its team chart are project managers, consultants, business analysts and finance. We did not find graduate schemes, internships or entry requirements, so check Cross 8's own site or contact the firm directly.
