One-card money app · FinTech

Curve

A UK app that lets you combine all your cards into one Curve card. It was bought by Lloyds Banking Group, reported in late 2025, so check current status before approaching.

About Curve

Curve is a money app that lets you load several debit and credit cards into one Curve card and one app. When you pay, you choose which of your linked cards actually pays. You can also change your mind about which card paid for a recent purchase, up to 14 days later.

Curve was founded in 2015 by Shachar Bialick, who is also named as its chief executive in the Wikipedia article. It was a "stealthy London startup" when it raised its first investment in December 2015. Its card runs on the Mastercard network.

Over time Curve added a metal card, a numberless card, a "Flex" feature that turns past payments into instalments, and contactless payments through some phone and wearable wallets. In 2025 Lloyds Banking Group agreed to buy Curve; Wikipedia reports a £120 million deal in November 2025 but is inconsistent about whether it has completed, and Curve's own press page announces it is joining Lloyds Banking Group.

We did not find a formal mission statement in the sources we read.

For young people, Curve is a good example of a London start-up that joined a major bank. We did not find a published graduate or internship scheme. Because the company is now joining Lloyds, check what hiring looks like before reaching out.
