A Glasgow activewear brand making gym clothing for men and women, named Britain's fastest-growing private company in the Sunday Times 100 in 2025.
DFYNE is a Scottish activewear brand. It designs and sells gym clothing for men and women, including leggings, sports bras, T-shirts, joggers, impact shorts and gym accessories. It sells mainly online, and its press coverage describes the brand as using eco-friendly materials and ethical production, which is a claim from the company's announcements rather than something we have checked. The company is based in Glasgow, and in the Sunday Times 100 ranking of Britain's fastest-growing private companies in 2025 it came first, with average annual sales growth of 517% over three years.
The founder and chief executive is Oscar Ryndziewicz, who was 32 at the time of that ranking. DFYNE was the third business he had launched, and he has said he began it with a small credit limit on his girlfriend's card. The brand launched around four years before the company opened its new headquarters in 2026. We did not find a formal mission statement in the pages we could read. Mr Ryndziewicz has talked about the role of luck, saying that people who never try will not get lucky, and he described the new headquarters as a place to help people "spark connections and inspire innovation".
DFYNE's UK base is Glasgow. In January 2026 it was reported to have opened a 21,623 square foot headquarters in the city, designed by the workplace firm Oktra, which brings product, creative and commercial staff together. Phase one was finished at the time, with further fit-out planned. One 2025 article said the company had 128 staff, an older figure. The brand also works with athletes, and the headquarters includes space for guests, team members and athletes.
On culture, the information we found is limited. The Oktra design brief describes zones that mix focused work areas with informal places to show products and speed up development, which suggests a team that works closely together and treats product design as a shared activity. The company has been named among start-ups to watch with founders under 35 in earlier Sunday Times coverage. We found no staff surveys or first-party statements about its culture, so treat this as a thin picture.
Behind a clothing brand like this there are many jobs: product designers and pattern makers, buyers and suppliers who source fabric, marketing and social-media teams, photographers and videographers, website and data specialists, customer service staff, warehouse and logistics teams, and finance and legal staff. Activewear is a good example of how a business can grow very fast online from a Scottish base, so it suits anyone curious about fashion, e-commerce or building a brand.
