A London-founded live music ticketing app that sells tickets directly from venues and promoters and avoids secondary resale.
DICE is a ticketing and live events app. People use it to find and buy tickets for gigs, festivals, comedy and talks. Tickets are held in the app as QR codes, can be passed to a friend, and sold-out shows have a waiting list so returned tickets go to fans in the queue. It links with Spotify and Apple Music so the home page can suggest events based on the artists you listen to.
It became known for opposing ticket touts. Wikipedia says its tickets come directly from labels, promoters and venues and that DICE does not take part in secondary ticketing. A job-site profile quotes its mission as "to get people out more and bring incredible live shows and streams to fans around the world". The company also runs the DICE Live Awards, which since 2016 have honoured live performances by artists on the platform, with winners including Little Simz, Dave and Self Esteem.
DICE was founded in 2014 by Phil Hutcheon, who had spent more than a decade in the music industry running the label Modular Recordings and later Deadly People. It was incorporated in February 2014 in Surrey as Dice Trading Limited. Its London headquarters is in the De Beauvoir and Dalston area, with other offices in Europe and one in Brooklyn. It is the main ticketing partner for Alexandra Palace. Wikipedia says the app was in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and the US as of 2023.
We flag that it is ACQUIRED: by Fever (2025). Wikipedia reports the deal in June 2025, and a trade article says fans can expect DICE to keep its anti-scalper experience. It does not confirm that the DICE name or London team will stay as they are, so UK status after the sale is unconfirmed. Headcount was reported as more than 480 in 2022, which is dated.
A ticketing company employs many kinds of people: engineers and designers who build the app, music and venue partnership managers, customer support teams, data analysts, marketing staff and operations staff who work with event organisers. That profile gives the office as 100 De Beauvoir Road, London N1 4EN, and lists benefits such as a volunteering day each quarter, discounted event tickets, learning programmes and enhanced parental leave, which are the company's own claims. Look at dice.fm and Fever's pages to check how it now describes its London operation.
