Etcembly

An Oxford techbio company that uses AI to read the immune system and design new immunotherapies and antibodies.

About Etcembly

Etcembly calls itself a British techbio company working where immunology meets AI. Its platform, EMLy, studies immune repertoires by combining billions of T-cell receptor and antibody sequences with bioinformatics, language models and structural modelling. It says it has already discovered and optimised high-affinity T-cell receptors.

Its stated aim is to discover and optimise "the next-generation of life-changing immunotherapies". Chief executive Michelle Teng has talked of "faster, smarter development of next-generation biotherapeutics".

Etcembly is based in Oxford, England. In May 2025 it announced a collaboration with DJS Antibodies, part of AbbVie, to find antibodies for an autoimmune disease target. That is our latest evidence it is trading.

The release names Michelle Teng as co-founder and chief executive. We did not find details of its culture, values or headcount.

We did not find a graduate scheme, internship or vacancies. Look at its website for roles, and note that biology and computing skills both matter in a company like this.
