Firefly Learning makes software for schools. Teachers use it to share lessons and resources, set homework, mark work and track progress, and parents can see reports and timetables through a parent portal.
It says it wants to simplify the hardest parts of teaching and learning so that "every child gets the best chance of learning, whatever the circumstances". Its careers page talks about transforming learning by empowering students, teachers and parents.
Firefly is a London-based company with a UK office in London (W1W) and another in Sydney. A 2020 news article listed offices in London, Brighton, Singapore, Sydney and Belfast and about 70 staff at that time, so check the current picture. Its platform is used by schools in over 40 countries.
Its four values are Service, Humility, Excellence and Inclusion. Benefits listed include 25 days holiday plus public holidays, a 3-day Christmas shutdown, a 4% employer pension contribution and enhanced parental leave. Salaries are described only as competitive.
We did not find a graduate scheme, apprenticeship or work experience programme, and the 2020 Belfast hiring article does not mention entry-level roles. Firefly lists open positions on Workable, so check its careers page.
