FIS builds the technology behind everyday money. Its systems support mobile banking, card payments and the software banks use to manage assets, for merchants, banks and capital markets firms.

FIS describes itself as "the technology that moves the world's money". The careers page we read has no formal mission or values list, but it describes a culture built on collaboration, flexibility, respect, teamwork, personal accountability and excellence.

Its UK summer internship listing named Manchester and London as locations. The page said FIS has more than 10,000 employees worldwide, and we did not find a UK headcount.

FIS calls its culture innovative and entrepreneurial. That is the company's own claim, so ask about day-to-day working at interview or an open day.

As at 2023, FIS ran a paid 10-week summer internship for penultimate-year undergraduates (it could lead to a full-time offer) and a two-year University Program for entry-level roles in areas such as finance and treasury. The page said it was not hiring at the time, so check the FIS careers site for current dates.
