A London-linked podcast company launched by Steven Bartlett and former Acast executives, home to The Diary Of A CEO and other shows.
Flight Studio is a podcast media and technology company. It was launched in April 2024 and handles podcast development, creation, growth and making money from shows. Its platform grew out of the work behind The Diary Of A CEO, hosted by Steven Bartlett, and it also released shows such as Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk and Davina McCall's Begin Again. The Diary Of A CEO is one of the best-known UK podcasts, and a trade article reports it reached one billion views or listens, a milestone Bartlett credited to his team of about 50 people.
Its chief executive Georgie Holt says the goal is to build "the most valuable podcast brands and technology in the world", and she has described its mission as scaling influential intellectual property and energising global fandoms. Bartlett, the chairman and founder, says it aims to redefine the global podcasting industry.
The launch announcement named London as one of several planned production studios, alongside Manchester, New York, Boston and Los Angeles. It did not name a headquarters address. Bartlett has said a team of about 50 people works behind the scenes on The Diary Of A CEO, and a podcast chart analysis placed the company third among UK podcast channels by number of shows. The first named talent joining alongside Bartlett were Davina McCall, Paul C Brunson, Dr Tara Swart, Africa Brooke and Kristen Holmes, all past guests of The Diary Of A CEO, which shows how the company grew shows out of its existing audience.
The three co-founders are Steven Bartlett, Georgie Holt, who was previously Acast's regional managing director for the Americas, and Christiana Brenton, previously Acast's US head of sales and brand partnerships. We did not find a description of company culture beyond these leaders' public statements.
A podcast company needs producers, editors, video and sound staff, researchers, sales and partnership teams and technology staff. Because the company is young and growing quickly, people who join are likely to work across several of these areas. Shows like these also need people who plan guests, write questions, manage social clips and handle contracts, so there are many different jobs behind a single conversation recorded in a studio.
