Fospha

A London-based marketing measurement company that helps online retail brands see which advertising channels really drive sales.

About Fospha

Fospha is a marketing measurement company. Online brands spend money on advertising across many channels and want to know which ones actually bring in sales. Fospha uses data science and machine learning to combine two methods, multi-touch attribution and marketing mix modelling, in a single view. It calls itself a new type of marketing measurement, and its product Fospha Pro brings them together with predictive planning.

Its mission, in its own words, is "to give marketers back the confidence they lost after iOS14". That refers to Apple's privacy changes, which made it harder to track people between apps and sites. Fospha says it is independent and privacy-safe, and it aims to be fast, getting new customers set up in around two weeks. We did not find a longer values statement.

Fospha says it was founded in 2014 by Blenheim Chalcot, the London company builder, to tackle marketing problems through data science. It later acquired iJento, a web analytics platform started in 2000, and launched its first attribution product in 2018. Its London office is at Scale Space, 58 Wood Lane, W12 7RZ. It also has offices in New York, Austin and Mumbai. Its site names Sam Carter as chief executive.

Customers shown on its pages are mostly online retail, fashion and beauty brands, including Gymshark, Huel, River Island, Oh Polly, Boohooman, Necessaire, Give Me Cosmetics and The Essence Vault, and it says it serves hundreds of retail brands. Fospha says it has more than 150 team members on three continents, made up of data scientists and marketing experts who have spent years building these models. It also claims award-winning customer support. Its product pages describe a daily marketing mix model called Measurement OS, which unifies measurement across channels, and say year-on-year data is available straight away. These are the company's own statements.

A graduate marketing scientist role has been advertised on a UK graduate job board, which shows the company hires analytical people in the UK. The roles at Fospha include marketing scientists, data scientists, engineers, customer success and sales. If you enjoy maths and want to explain what the numbers mean to a business, the company is a good example of where those skills are used.
