Gopuff (UK)

The UK arm of a US-founded rapid delivery company that brings snacks, groceries and everyday items to customers in about 16 UK cities.

About Gopuff (UK)

Gopuff is a rapid delivery service for everyday items. It sells snacks, groceries, drinks and household basics, stored in small local warehouses called micro-fulfilment centres, and delivers them quickly, in some cases within 15 minutes and mostly within an hour. In the UK, it also delivers through a partnership with Amazon that began in 2025.

The company says it wants to be "the world's go-to solution for everyday needs", starting with fast access to everyday products. It was founded in Philadelphia in 2013 by Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola. It chooses, sources and prices its own stock, and has promoted local UK brands such as Little Moons ice cream, Noxy Brothers coffee, Deliciously Ella and Young Foodies, giving small suppliers access to customers.

Gopuff entered the UK in 2022 through the acquisition of delivery businesses Fancy and Dija, and said it had more than 30 micro-fulfilment centres in Europe and over 1,000 employees across Europe, more than two-thirds of them in the UK, at launch. London uses a mostly electric delivery fleet. In July 2025, UK reports said Amazon had launched Gopuff-supplied ultra-fast grocery deliveries in cities including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Chessington, Coventry, Derby, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Salford, Sheffield and Swansea.

Gopuff is a US firm, so its UK culture is less documented in the pages we read. In 2022 it also said that local suppliers and sole traders could reach customers through its channels, and customers paid a flat £1.79 delivery fee per order at launch. We did not find a statement of values or a description of its UK team. The kinds of jobs involved are clear from its business model: warehouse and hub staff who pick and pack orders, delivery partners, local operations and area managers, buyers and category teams, plus technology, data and customer service teams.

Rapid delivery is a young and fast-changing part of retail: rival Getir left the UK in 2024. For anyone interested in the area, Gopuff shows how fast delivery depends on stock planning, local warehouse work and partnerships with larger platforms. We did not verify UK headquarters or current open roles, so check Gopuff's own website for them. The evidence we read dates from 2022 and 2025.
