A Bristol-based investment platform for everyday savers, now privately owned, which has offered apprenticeships in technology and client services.
Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) is a Bristol-based investment and savings business that helps people invest through an online platform and client service teams. Its early-career roles in the sources we found were in technology, risk and client contact.
We did not find a mission statement. A 2023 apprenticeship listing describes HL as a fast-growing, innovative business that delivers technology to serve clients and colleagues, and it emphasises learning, teamwork and growth.
HL is based in Bristol, and the apprenticeships we found are in the Bristol office with hybrid working of two to three days a week in the office. We did not confirm other UK offices.
The 2023 listing says HL looks for people who are coachable, resilient, curious, driven and analytical, and says it welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. That is the company's own wording, and the listing is old. The company was taken over by a consortium led by CVC Capital Partners (shareholders approved the deal on 14 October 2024), so culture and programmes may have changed.
The routes we found were apprenticeships: a Level 4 Software Engineering apprenticeship (18 months from 18 September 2023, GCSE English and maths at grade 4 to 9, pay of £23,000 per year) and others in risk, technology risk and client contact administration. We did not find a graduate scheme, internships or any current vacancies, so check HL's careers site.
