Hometree

A London-based home energy company that offers finance, cover and installation for heat pumps and other low-carbon home upgrades.

About Hometree

Hometree is a home energy services company. It offers finance for sustainable home upgrades, insurance and cover for home heating equipment and, since its purchase of IMS Heat Pumps, installations by renewable energy specialists. IMS designs, installs and maintains heat pumps, battery storage and solar systems.

Hometree says it aims to "help decarbonise a million UK homes". IMS lists its values as safety and excellence, collaboration, professional standards, an inclusive and warm working environment and equal opportunity in hiring.

Hometree's registered address is Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London. Through IMS it has offices in Perth and Sheffield. IMS says it was founded in 1997 and a heating and plumbing engineer role in Perth was posted on 11 August 2026, so it is hiring now.

Indeed lists Hometree at 51 to 200 employees, with reviews describing smart, kind, low-ego colleagues and monthly socials. With only eight reviews, and one 2023 review that was critical about pay and management, treat this as a mixed and small sample.

We did not find a graduate scheme or apprenticeship. The Perth role asked for at least a Level 2 plumbing, heating or heat pump qualification and a CSCS card, with a salary of £22,000 to £28,000, so it suits people who have already trained in the trades. Check Hometree and IMS for newer entry routes.
