Huboo

A Bristol-founded online-shop fulfilment company that stores, packs and posts products for e-commerce sellers from small 'micro-hub' warehouses across the UK and Europe.

About Huboo

Huboo looks after the storing, picking, packing and delivery of products for people who sell online. A seller sends its stock to a Huboo warehouse, and when a customer orders on Shopify, Amazon, eBay or another sales channel, Huboo's team packs the order and sends it out. The company connects to those sales channels through its software, so sellers can see orders and stock levels on one dashboard, and it runs its own warehouse software. Its own site says it works with more than 35 marketplace and channel platforms and describes a 'human-centric approach'.

Huboo was founded in 2017 by Martin Bysh and Paul Dodd. A Bristol magazine profile says the idea came while they were watching their sons play football, and that the business started in a storage unit at a Safestore in Bath. Mr Bysh has described the mission as helping online businesses of all sizes grow by handling their order fulfilment, and in his words the aim is to enable 'seamless, borderless trade for e-commerce businesses of all sizes'. The company's own phrase is that it wants to 'fuel growth, empower entrepreneurs and fulfil ambitions'. In 2021 it said it had more than 1,000 customers, from part-time sellers to fast-growing brands.

In the UK, Huboo's head office has been on Corn Street in Bristol. A company page lists UK sites at Emersons Green, Severn Beach (two sites) and Bradley Stoke, all in the Bristol area, plus Kington Langley near Chippenham in Wiltshire. It also lists sites in Leipzig, Madrid and Veldhoven in the Netherlands. The warehouses are split into small modular 'micro-hubs', each only a few hundred square feet, so that pickers do not have to walk long distances and new space can open within weeks.

On culture, the Bristol magazine profile says the company is built on fairness, openness, collaboration and fun. It describes a fifth-floor bar, climbing wall and games consoles at head office, and a monthly 'Town Hall' meeting live-streamed to all offices and warehouses. Mr Bysh is quoted as saying 'We're creating great jobs for great people', and the profile says 50 warehouse staff had moved into other departments such as tech, marketing and sales in a year. That profile is undated and these are the company's own claims. Ownership is reported to have changed in December 2024, so check what the company looks like today.

Huboo employs a mix of people. Warehouse teams pick, pack and check orders, and supervisors and operations managers run each site. At head office, the profile says about 100 developers work on the software, alongside customer service, account management, sales, marketing and finance staff. If you enjoy practical, fast-moving work, or software that solves everyday business problems, both sides of the company offer ways in. Check Huboo's own website for current roles.
