Jimmy's Iced Coffee

A Dorset-based ready-to-drink iced coffee brand, started by a brother and sister in 2011 and now part of Britvic.

About Jimmy's Iced Coffee

Jimmy's Iced Coffee makes ready-to-drink iced coffee that is sold in supermarkets and shops across the UK. The range includes Original, Oat and Caramel flavours, and the company says it is the only UK soft drink sold in an all-aluminium container called a BottleCan.

The brand began when co-founder Jim Cregan tried ready-to-drink iced coffee on a road trip in Australia and could not find anything like it back in the UK. He and his sister Sooz (Suzie Owen) made their own, funded with money borrowed from their parents, and launched at the Selfridges Food Hall on 7 April 2011. The company says it wants a drink that is refreshing, tastes of coffee and is not packed with sugar.

Jimmy's is headquartered in Dorset and operates across the UK, with more than 10,000 distribution points reported when Britvic bought it in July 2023. It is a Certified B Corporation (since August 2022), with a B Impact score of 90.3 in its directory entry, where its strongest area is how it treats its workers. It also describes a special emphasis on sustainable packaging and single-origin, Rainforest Alliance coffee. Britvic is based in Hertfordshire. The founders stayed on as brand ambassadors after the deal, and Jimmy's still trades under its own name. Britvic's chief executive at the time of the deal was Simon Litherland, and the company said Jimmy's grew strongly in the year to June 2023.

A 2023 trade profile says the team holds monthly get-togethers and informal Friday wind-downs, and that an in-house creative team built a branded airstream bike for product sampling and prize games that toured the UK. It also describes a festival for local customers and a music video made by the team. It describes itself as doing community work beyond iced coffee, and a 2023 profile said it was exploring larger pack formats. These are the company's own descriptions of its culture, so ask about them at interview.

A business like this employs people in brand and marketing, sales and key accounts, supply chain and operations, creative content, finance and sustainability. A drinks brand sold through many retailers needs all of those to get a product from the can to the shelf. We did not find a published team size, so check the company website for current roles.
