A data and AI consultancy working mainly with private equity firms, with its headquarters in London.

About JMAN Group

JMAN Group is a data and AI consultancy. In plain terms, it helps businesses turn their data into useful decisions. It works mostly with private equity funds (investment firms that buy and grow companies) and the companies those funds own. Its website lists core reporting, data and AI advisory, value creation, due diligence and preparing companies for sale as its main solutions, backed by data engineering, data science, machine learning and generative AI expertise.

A job listing says JMAN was founded by cousins Anush Newman (co-founder and CEO) and Leo Valan (co-founder and CTO), who the website's leadership list names as Michael Leovalan, and that it has grown rapidly since 2019. The website says it was founded in 2010, and an older careers page said it was founded “seven years ago”, so sources disagree on the date. Its headquarters are at 10 Lloyd's Avenue, London, with offices in New York (opened January 2024) and Chennai, India. The website says the team is over 600 people, while the older listing said 350+; the UK team was given as 90 or more.

JMAN has no formal mission statement on its website. Its positioning is: “We specialize in translating data into value for private equity funds and their portfolio companies”, delivered by “smart, humble, and determined people”. The website does not list values.

JMAN says it works with more than 150 private equity funds and over 400 portfolio companies, but does not name clients. Its London consultants work in small project teams alongside developers in Chennai. It was named on the Sunday Times Fast Track list in 2025 and the website cites a Forbes ranking for 2026. It also supports Women in Data, a community for women in the data field.

Its internship page describes an 8-week internship that starts with brief training and then a role on a live client project, working with clients from day one on topics such as advanced analytics, management reporting and data strategy. No programming skills are required, though an analytics background helps. The Associate Consultant role in London is hybrid and asks for strong academics and numerical ability. The firm says learning happens on the job, with socials, retreats, coaching and training, and that it wants curious, ambitious people who could one day help run the company; these are its own claims. The website says it hires new graduates. We did not find a formal graduate scheme, salary or deadline, so check jmangroup.com/careers.
