About Kearney

Kearney is a global management consulting firm that advises organisations on their most important issues. In plain terms, companies and governments hire its consultants to help them grow, run more efficiently, use technology and data, or manage big change. Its website lists industries including aerospace and defence, consumer and retail, energy, financial services, healthcare, the public sector, technology and travel. Its Business Analysts join client project teams, gather and analyse data, assess competitors and help build solutions with clients.

The firm's own history page says James O. McKinsey founded it in Chicago in 1926. Tom (Andrew Thomas) Kearney joined in 1929 and became managing partner in 1935. It became A.T. Kearney and Company in 1947, opened its first overseas office in Dusseldorf in 1964, was bought back by its partners in 2006 and shortened its name to Kearney in 2020. Its London office is where the graduate Business Analyst role we found is based; we did not find a full list of other UK offices.

Kearney says its work is “fundamentally about making connections” between facts, insights, strategies, technologies and people. Its history page describes a mindset of “impact first”, meaning consultants advise and then help put changes into practice. It lists values of boldness, solidarity, generosity, curiosity and passion, and describes its goal as helping to “build a future that works for everyone, everywhere”.

Besides industry work, its services include strategy and growth, digital and analytics, mergers and acquisitions, operations and performance, procurement, organisation, sustainability and transformation. It also runs a Global Business Policy Council, a think tank, and publishes research such as the Global Cities Report and the FDI Confidence Index (a survey of how confident international investors are about countries). Its Impact Networks are called Kearney Foresight, Kearney Innovate and Kearney Activate.

The firm calls its people “Kearney Originals” and describes an “open, agile, and collaborative environment” with the freedom to be yourself; these are its own words, so ask current staff what it is like. The 2027 Business Analyst role in London is for people in the final year of a degree who want to start in consulting. The listing says analysts support project workstreams, help write proposals, contribute to reports and articles, and take part in recruiting and mentoring. Training is structured and on the job, with options such as talent mobility and externships (a short spell working elsewhere). Benefits listed include pension contributions, medical insurance for employees and families, and flexible working. The application deadline was 27 October 2026; no salary, start date or required degree grade was given, so check Kearney's careers page.
