A Cambridge drug discovery company that combines quantum mechanics and AI to design medicines against enzymes.
Kuano is a drug discovery company that applies quantum mechanics and artificial intelligence to design new medicines. Its platform models enzymes while they are moving and working, not just at rest, and its AI tools then predict molecules that fit the target closely.
Chief executive Vid Stojevic has said "Our platform creates a 'quantum lens' that reveals the difference between enzymes." We did not find a longer mission statement.
Kuano was co-founded in 2020 by Vid Stojevic, David Wright, Parminder Ruprah and Jarryl D'Oyley and is based in Cambridge, UK. In November 2025 a partner company announced a pilot project with Kuano, which shows it was still working then.
The founders cover quantum physics and AI, molecular modelling, drug hunting and computational medicinal chemistry, so the team mixes physics, computing and chemistry. We did not find culture or values statements or a headcount.
We found no graduate scheme, internship or vacancies. Because the team is small, check Kuano's own website for openings and think about physics, computing or chemistry backgrounds.
