On its UK website it describes air, overland and sea logistics worldwide, plus contract logistics, which means storing and handling goods for other businesses. It says it distributes some of the UK's most popular brands. Freight forwarding, the core of its business, means arranging the transport of goods across borders, including the paperwork and customs steps that go with it.
The group was founded in Bremen, Germany, in 1890 and is now headquartered in Switzerland. Its UK arm was established in 1968. On its UK site the company says its mission is delivering progress to society through sustainable logistics. As part of that, it has a Net Zero Carbon initiative with an aim of carbon-neutral sea freight by 2030. Its stated approach to customers is to put them first, collaborating closely with industries and using the latest technology to build flexible solutions.
Kuehne+Nagel UK says it has more than 100 locations around the country and over 14,000 employees. We did not find a list of those sites in the pages we read, so we cannot tell you which towns and cities they are in. Its 2025 press release states that Aaron Scott was appointed National Manager for the UK from 1 May 2026, with a focus on strengthening its position in the UK and growing the business with customers. The same release says Mr Scott previously led the UK and Ireland business of DB Schenker, a competitor that DSV acquired in 2025. Worldwide the group has close to 85,000 employees and almost 1,300 sites in close to 100 countries.
