A London company that uses robots and machine learning to design and test new antibody medicines, with a focus on cancer.
LabGenius is a protein engineering company that uses machine learning to help discover antibody medicines. Its robotic platform, called EVA, designs experiments, runs them and learns from the results. Its own pipeline is aimed at cancer, including T-cell engagers and antibody-drug conjugates for solid tumours.
We did not find a formal mission statement. Chief executive James Field has described the aim as "accelerating the development of uniquely powerful antibody therapeutics", with next-generation cancer treatments in view.
LabGenius is headquartered in London. A job listing describes lab-based, full-time, on-site work in London. A 2026 news release refers to the company as LabGenius Therapeutics, so it is still trading, and the listing says the team is around 50 to 60 people.
The company describes its team as multidisciplinary, mixing computer science, robotics and synthetic biology. A listing claims weekly team lunches, monthly town halls and cross-discipline learning, and says people who do not meet every requirement are encouraged to apply. These are the company's own claims.
The role we saw was an (Associate) Scientist in cell biology and immuno-oncology, asking for a BSc or MSc plus relevant lab experience in cell-based assays. It was undated, so check the LabGenius careers page for current openings. We did not find a graduate scheme or apprenticeship.
