About LADbible Group

LADbible Group is a British digital publisher that makes news, humour, sport and entertainment for young people on social media. Its brands include LADbible, UNILAD, SPORTbible, GAMINGbible and Tyla. It also has a creative arm that makes campaigns for brands and a studio, LADstudios, that makes factual entertainment and documentaries. Its Manchester commercial arm, LAD360, sells campaigns to brands, and work has been done for clients such as Google, Nike, Lloyds and Uber. It has also made branded shows such as Snack Wars. Its Trash Isles campaign won eight Cannes Lions in 2018, according to Wikipedia.

The company describes its purpose as making people laugh, think and act, while staying positive. It says it sees itself as 'the trusted friend in the feed', and it has run campaigns on subjects such as mental health, the environment and anti-spiking. It aims to be a global media and entertainment group.

Its headquarters are on Dale Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter, where around 200 people worked as at December 2024, and it also has a London office. Its Manchester commercial team works with northern brands and agencies. A senior leader said 'Manchester is very much part of our DNA' and 'it's where we're from'. It also has offices abroad, including in Dublin, Australia and New York.

LADbible began in 2012 when Alexander 'Solly' Solomou, who was studying at the University of Leeds, started a Facebook page. He built it into a business with co-founder Arian Kalantari. In 2018 it bought rival UNILAD, and in 2021 it joined the AIM market. Its founders' story, from a student idea to a listed group, is part of how the company describes itself. It targets 18 to 34 year olds and claims to reach around two-thirds of that age group in the UK. Tubular Labs ranked it the top media and entertainment creator in the world in 2017, according to Wikipedia.

The business employs people in many different jobs: journalists and video producers, social media editors, designers, data and audience specialists, commercial and sales teams, and creative strategists who plan brand campaigns. The group says it publishes hundreds of stories daily and claims at least 28 billion content views a year, so audience and data skills matter as much as writing.
