A UK healthcare staffing technology company, founded by doctors, that connects NHS staff to shifts through staff banks.
Locum's Nest builds technology for NHS and private health organisations. Its Match product digitises hospital staff banks so doctors, nurses and other professionals can find shifts, and its Rota service helps teams plan and swap shifts.
In its own directory profile it says it aims to "solve the NHS staffing puzzle through all NHS staff groups", with more transparency, collaboration and better care.
It was founded in 2016 by two doctors, Dr Nicholas Andreou and Dr Ahmed Shahrabani. In June 2025 it was bought by US firm Aya Healthcare, but the announcement says it continues under its own brand. The profile said it works with more than 50 NHS trusts and hundreds of GP practices (as at 2023).
