Lucida Medical

A Cambridge medical-AI company whose software helps radiologists spot significant prostate cancer on MRI scans.

About Lucida Medical

Lucida Medical makes Pi, a CE-marked AI software platform that analyses prostate MRI scans. It helps radiologists outline suspicious areas and calculates risk scores, which are tasks that normally take time. A study of Pi with eight NHS trusts, called PAIR-1, found it performed on a par with expert radiologists.

Co-founder Professor Evis Sala said: "We founded Lucida Medical with a shared vision to use AI to transform the diagnosis of cancer."

Seedtable lists Lucida Medical in Cambridge, UK. The February 2025 study announcement shows its software is available in the UK and Europe, working with NHS trusts including Hampshire Hospitals, and says Pi is deployed in 11 countries. A search result headline from March 2026 about the company raising money suggests it was still trading, but we did not open that page.

The people named are Dr Antony Rix (chief executive and co-founder) and Mark Hinton (chief technology officer). The team works closely with radiologists and hospitals on clinical studies. We did not find a values page or headcount.

We found no graduate scheme, internship, apprenticeship or vacancies. Radiology, medical physics, machine learning and software backgrounds all fit a company like this, so check Lucida's own site for roles.
