One of the UK's largest NHS trusts, running ten hospitals across seven Greater Manchester sites with in-house apprenticeship programmes.

About Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute NHS trusts in the UK. It was formed on 1 October 2017 and runs ten hospitals across seven sites.

We did not read its values page, which the apprenticeship page links to as Vision and Values. Check that page for its own wording.

The trust is based in Manchester and says it has over 28,000 staff. The apprenticeship pages are for roles at its hospitals.

Its Apprenticeship Team delivers programmes in-house, with a dedicated tutor, workshops and one-to-one coaching. Apprentices study in working hours, with around 6 hours of off-the-job training a week. Free English and maths functional skills courses are offered if you need them to meet entry requirements.

Programmes run about 9 to 24 months. Level 2 includes Administration Assistant and Healthcare Support Worker; Level 3 includes Business Administrator, Team Leader, Dental Nurse and Pharmacy Technician; Level 4 includes Mammography Associate and Learning and Skills Mentor. There is also a guide for parents and carers. We did not find ages, pay or intake numbers.
