ManyPets sells pet insurance, which helps pay vet bills if your dog or cat is ill or injured. It says its policies include health benefits as well, and that it has helped half a million pets since 2017. The company calls the people who own pets “pet parents”.

ManyPets was co-founded by Steven Mendel (chief executive) and Guy Farley (chief technology officer), according to a founder story from Octopus Ventures, an investor. They started the company in 2012 and launched their first policy in 2017. They say they spoke with thousands of pet owners first and concluded that existing pet insurance was not working for them. Built In London lists London as its headquarters, with other UK offices shown as Birmingham and Mid Sussex. The profile is inconsistent about offices, so check the careers page.

Its mission, in Steven Mendel’s words and on its own pages, is to “make the world a better place for pets and their parents”. The founders say they take a user-first approach, with customers at the centre and strong customer service, and that they want to make pet ownership less stressful when a pet becomes ill and owners face questions about cost. Products named in the founder story are pet insurance policies designed around what pet parents say they need, vet video calls, and discounts on flea, tick and worming treatments. The company reports covering over 500,000 pets worldwide and says it employs over 400 people globally, with Built In London showing around 408. ManyPets also cites a 2020 Tech Track 100 ranking and Insurance Choice Awards for Best Pet Insurance Provider and Innovation of the Year, which are its own reports of awards.

ManyPets describes itself as “fast-paced, respectful, fun-loving and (most importantly) passionate about pets and their well-being”, and says it wants people with different lived experiences who think differently, aim for impact and enjoy trying new things. We did not find ManyPets saying which kinds of roles it has, and did not find graduate schemes, apprenticeships or internships, or pay details.
