A London-headquartered market intelligence company that tells businesses what consumers want and what is coming next.
Mintel is a market intelligence company. It collects market data and writes expert analysis on industries such as food and drink, retail, technology and financial services, and sells it to businesses through reports, consulting and data tools.
We did not find a formal mission statement. Mintel's own message is to help clients anticipate what comes next, and it uses the phrase 'predict what's next'.
Mintel was set up in London in 1972 and its headquarters is still in London. A Wikipedia mirror lists other offices in Chicago, Belfast, Shanghai and Sydney. A job-site profile gives about 1,400 employees overall (not a UK figure) and shows London roles in payroll, marketing and change management.
We did not find a values page or culture statement that we could read, so ask about teams and training when you apply.
Mintel has run a Student Ambassador Programme: a year-long scheme with up to 50 places, a creative application project, challenges to build leadership and marketing skills, and for some ambassadors a paid two-week placement at the London HQ. The page we read gave no reliable year or pay, so treat it as an example and check mintel.com for current schemes. We found no current graduate scheme.
