A London-based online platform that matches school pupils with university-student tutors for one-to-one lessons.
MyTutor is an online tutoring platform. School pupils book one-to-one lessons in an online lesson space with tutors who are current students or recent graduates of UK universities.
It describes itself as on a mission to provide life-changing tuition to all. It also works with schools across the UK, and a company profile says more than 1,300 schools work with it.
A company profile lists its headquarters as London, with a team spread across the UK, and says it was founded in 2013. Reported headcount is unclear: one page says nearly 300, another lists a different figure.
MyTutor calls itself a learning organisation and says it is committed to conscious inclusion and belonging, with a hybrid way of working.
The clearest route for young people is tutoring. Tutors are self-employed, can earn £12 to £52 per hour, must be current students or recent graduates of listed UK universities, and need B to A* grades in Maths, English or Science at GCSE or A-Level. A graduate-jobs page said it was not hiring for employed roles at the time; check the careers site.
