The UK arm of News Corp, publisher of The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun and the radio stations talkSPORT and Times Radio.

About News UK

News UK is one of the leading media businesses in the UK and Ireland and is wholly owned by News Corp. Its newspapers are The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun, The Sun on Sunday and the Times Literary Supplement. It also runs radio including talkSPORT, Times Radio, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio, and local radio stations across Ireland, along with websites, apps, video, podcasts and events.

News UK says its brands reach almost 40 million people each month across print, digital, audio and video. In its own profile it emphasises "a plurality of opinion" and says its brands reflect the diverse communities they serve. We did not find a longer mission statement in the pages we read, so check its official website for current wording.

In the UK, the head office is at 1 London Bridge Street in London, in the building known as The News Building next to the Shard. The company moved there from Wapping around 2014, signing a 30-year lease. A company statement at the time said about 4,500 people were moving across the site, which also housed other News Corp businesses. Each editorial team has its own floor, three further floors are let to other businesses, and staff can see St Paul's and the City from the offices or walk along the Thames to Borough Market. Newspapers can be produced each night and websites updated through the day. News UK has also worked with its local council, Southwark, for example by donating tablets to local libraries. The lease runs for 30 years, which shows how long it plans to stay.

The company said the move would help the businesses collaborate and share creative talent, and that the new home would help it keep staff and hire new people. These are the company's own claims. Working across a newsroom, radio studio and commercial floor means very different jobs under one roof: reporters, editors, producers, presenters, picture and video teams, engineers, advertising and marketing teams, finance, legal and technology staff.

The Times and The Sunday Times together carry the history of one of the world's oldest national titles, while The Sun is among the UK's most read papers. Reading each title helps you see which kind of work appeals to you. Check News UK's website for updated information about its brands, locations and teams.
