About NHS Professionals

NHS Professionals (NHSP) provides flexible workers to NHS organisations. People such as nurses and healthcare assistants join its bank and pick up shifts at NHS Trusts, so hospitals can cover gaps in their teams. Its careers page says it places over 180,000 healthcare professionals into NHS Trusts each year.

We did not find a formal mission statement. Its careers page says people are central to its success, and it links to an "Our values" page we could not read. It is owned by the Department of Health and Social Care and says any surplus is reinvested in the wider healthcare economy.

NHSP Ltd is registered in England and Wales with its registered address at Breakspear Park, Hemel Hempstead. Its partner NHS Trusts are across England. Details of other offices were not found.

It says it has been named a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute and offers pay, rewards and learning support. This is its own claim. Recent permanent vacancies it lists include Clinical Educator and Academy Trainer posts, which suit more experienced staff.
