Notion Capital

A London venture firm investing in business software and fintech companies in Europe, and the founder of the Included VC fellowship.

About Notion Capital

Notion Capital is a London-based venture capital firm that backs early-stage business software and technology companies in Europe, typically from seed to Series A. A growth strategy led by Jess Bartos and Stephanie Opdam looks at later-stage software and fintech companies. It has been investing for more than 15 years.

We did not find a mission statement. Its careers page says it wants to create the conditions for its companies to succeed and help founders achieve scale and lasting success.

Notion Capital is London-based; a 2019 article gives its address as Wimpole Street, London, and an October 2025 article confirms the London base. It is led by Managing Partner Stephen Chandler, and the firm says its team spans 12 nationalities (company claim).

Notion Capital started Included VC, a fellowship for people from under-represented groups who want to enter venture capital. Its aim is "to increase the number of underrepresented communities within the venture capital industry".

The fellowship is the clearest route in. A 2019 article said it ran for 12 months and offered at least 10 six-month internships at the end, with almost 1,000 applications for 30 places (as at 2019). In 2021 it was described as global and fully funded (as at 2021), and Notion was one of several partner firms, so check where it is now. The firm's own careers page showed no open roles.
