An Oxford company developing RNA medicines for chronic liver disease, using human donor livers to find new treatment targets.
Ochre Bio develops RNA therapies for chronic liver disease. A news item describes exploratory, target biology and lead development teams, and a chemistry laboratory.
Its job listing states: "Our driving vision is to end the need for liver transplants."
Ochre Bio was incorporated in 2019, started at the University of Oxford BioEscalator in 2020 and has since moved fully to the Oxford Science Park, where its UK operations are based. The co-founders are chief executive Jack O'Meara and chief scientific officer Dr Quin Wills. A listing for a research associate from 2025 shows recent recruiting, though we did not find 2026 evidence.
Dr Wills said "In the tough world of biotech, having the right people around you means everything" (company claim). We did not find a headcount or values page.
The research associate role was a 12-month fixed-term job asking for a BSc or MSc in molecular biology or a related field, with RNA/DNA extraction and RT-qPCR experience. It is closed and was posted more than six months ago, so check Ochre's careers page for new roles.
