A UK property and mortgage technology company, founded in 2016, that runs a fixed-price HomeBuyer Service covering mortgage, legal work, surveys and moving-day support.

About OneDome

OneDome is a UK company that wants to make buying a home simpler. Its flagship product is the HomeBuyer Service, introduced in 2022. A buyer gets one service that covers arranging the mortgage, the legal work and, since 2024, surveys, with a trained property moving assistant managing the purchase from offer to completion. The company also runs a property search website, owns several mortgage brokerages, and launched a mortgage network in 2025. It describes itself as a housing and fintech business, which means it combines property services with financial technology.

Babek Ismayil founded OneDome in 2016 after a difficult experience buying a home himself, and he is chief executive. He says the usual buying process is "broken, disjointed and stressful" and wants to replace it with a connected experience. The company describes its aim as changing how people search for, buy and sell homes in the UK, making it simpler, more streamlined and more transparent. Mr Ismayil has talked about handling 120,000 home purchases a year by 2030, roughly one in ten UK transactions, which is an ambition rather than a result.

OneDome is UK-based. A directory of fast-growing start-ups places it in London, an older profile mentioned London and Kyiv offices, and a 2025 trade report said it had about 230 staff. Its property search site launched in the third quarter of 2019, listing nearly 400,000 homes from more than 6,500 estate agency branches. It ranked 17th in the 2025 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, with reported revenue growth of 1,726 per cent over three years. In 2025 it announced a partnership with Channel 4 Ventures to promote the HomeBuyer Service nationally. The trade press has not given a full list of office addresses, so we have not stated one.

On culture, a 2024 profile says the team is built on collaboration and innovation, that many staff have had bad experiences moving home themselves, which motivates them, and that they celebrate small wins. That is the company's own account and we have not checked it independently. The challenges Mr Ismayil names are honest ones: some parts of the property industry resist digital change, and combining several regulated services such as mortgages and legal work into one platform takes careful work.

A business like this employs many kinds of people. There are property moving assistants who look after buyers, mortgage advisers and brokers, conveyancing and legal support staff, software and data teams, designers, marketers and people who work with estate agents and new-homes developers. If you like talking to people, solving problems step by step, or building simple tools for a complicated process, those functions are worth reading about. Check the OneDome website for its current roles and addresses.
